Draft — pending legal review

This page is a working draft for our lawyers. It is not in force, and it will change before launch. Bracketed, highlighted text is still to be confirmed.

Disclosures

Draft of 16 October 2026

Who issues the digital dollars in your account, who processes cash-outs and bills, and the risks you should know about.

Who issues the digital dollars

The digital dollars in your account are USDC, issued by Circle, and USDT, issued by Tether. They are issued by these third parties, not by Nomapay. Each aims to keep one token worth one US dollar, backed by its own reserves, but that depends on the issuer, not on us.

Circle and Tether can freeze addresses, for example under a legal order. If an address in your account is frozen, we cannot unfreeze it.

Blockchain risks

Your account lives on public blockchains (Arbitrum is its home, and dollars can arrive from other networks). That brings risks we cannot fully remove:

  • Payments on a blockchain cannot be reversed once confirmed.
  • Sending to the wrong network, or an unsupported token, may mean the money does not arrive.
  • Networks can be slow, congested or interrupted, and their software can have faults.
  • The smart contracts behind your account, including ours, could contain errors.
  • The rules about digital dollars may change in your country.

Partner processing

Cash-outs, bill payments and dollar purchases are processed by our licensed payment partners, who convert between dollars and local money and pay out. Nomapay never holds or converts your money. Partners are chosen per country, and what is available depends on where you are.

What Nomapay can and cannot do

Nomapay can

  • Show you your balance, activity and statuses.
  • Build payments for you to check and approve.
  • Pay network fees on everyday payments.
  • Help recover your account, as one of two guardians.
  • Cancel a queued transfer with its cancel-only safety key.

Nomapay cannot

  • Move, freeze or take your money.
  • Approve a payment without your key.
  • Recover your account alone.
  • Reverse a confirmed payment.
  • Unfreeze money frozen by an issuer.

No deposit insurance

Your balance is not a bank deposit. It is not covered by any deposit insurance or deposit protection scheme, in any country.

Not investment advice

Nothing Nomapay says is investment, tax or legal advice. Holding dollars is not an investment product: Nomapay pays nothing on your balance. If you are unsure whether Nomapay is right for you, get independent advice.

The disclosure. Nomapay is a financial technology company, not a bank. Digital dollars (USDC, USDT) are issued by Circle and Tether. Cash-outs, bill payments and dollar purchases are processed by our licensed payment partners. Availability varies by country.
