Limits and identity levels
Your daily limits, and the identity levels that raise them. Exact limits vary by country.
Your daily limits are enforced by your account itself, not just by Nomapay. Lowering a limit works at once. Raising one waits, so a thief can't quietly raise them.
Identity levels
You only share more about yourself when you want to do more.
| Level | What you provide | What it unlocks (example) |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Your phone number | Hold, send and receive; sending up to about $200 a day; small bills |
| 1 | A government ID number (BVN or NIN in Nigeria, Ghana Card, Kenyan national ID) | Cash-out, larger bills, higher limits |
| 2 | An ID document and a selfie | The highest limits |
Exact limits vary by country. The app shows your current limits and what the next level unlocks.
Raising your level
Go to your account settings in the app and follow the steps for the next level. Your name must match the name on your ID.
After you sign in on a new phone, raising limits waits until the 24-hour safety window ends.
Large transfers
Above a set amount, a single transfer waits a safety period before it goes. See large transfers and the safety wait.
