If someone forces you to pay: the safety PIN
A safety PIN you set up in advance helps protect you if someone ever forces you to send money. Here's how to set it up, and what to do if you're in danger.
Your safety comes first, always. If anyone ever forces you to open Nomapay and send money, do what keeps you safe.
What it does
You set up a safety PIN in advance, as well as your usual Nomapay PIN. If you are ever made to pay, you use the safety PIN instead:
- Someone you trust is quietly told that you may need help, with your rough area if you chose to share it.
- Nomapay's safety team is alerted.
- You lose less. You choose in advance the most you'd be willing to lose to stay safe.
Every Nomapay account can have these protections, and nobody can tell from the app whether yours is set up. See the safety PIN for more.
Set it up
- Open the app and go to Me → Security → Safety PIN.
- Follow the steps. The app explains exactly how it works there, so only you know the details.
If you are in danger now
- Call 112.
- Don't put yourself at risk to protect your money.
- Once you are safe, tell us straight away, and see I lost my phone if your phone was taken.
Nomapay will never ask you for your PIN or a code, by phone, text or WhatsApp.
